Kristen E. Douglas is a multi-media artist originally from the Midwestern US. Since 2005, she has lived in and around the Hillsborough area of North Carolina, but Hillsborough is where she and her husband have chosen to call home. Kristen has been an artist and art teacher since she could hold a pencil. While she has spent much of her career as a mental health practitioner, a high school teacher/English professor, and a writer, she has always come back to her art. She currently paints primarily in acrylics and teaches others drawing and painting skills out of her home studio. The name “Kristopia Studios” was born out of Kristen’s feelings that when she is creating, she is in her own utopia.
